Inconel® 600 is a Nickel-Chromium-Iron alloy with good corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and high strength at high temperatures. Inconel® 600 is highly resistant to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking due to the high nickel content. Age-hardening treatments are not required, as Inconel® 600 is hardened and strengthened through cold work only. Inconel® 600 can operate from cryogenic temperatures to 700°F.

    Inconel® 600 Strip Alloy

  • Inconel® 600 is a crafted metallic material that offers superior heat, oxidation, and also deterioration resistance. The service temperature of this alloy can go down to the lowest cryogenic limits, with the top end maxing out at around 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Inconel® 600 strip alloy offers outstanding resistance to organic as well as inorganic substances, chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, and also oxidizing conditions and reducing. Furthermore, the chromium material in alloy 600 provides resistance to sulfur substances. 600 specialty steel is also non-magnetic in nature. It has great mechanical properties at both high and low temperature levels.     There are several different industries that utilize Inconel® 600 strip alloy. Some of the most popular industries include aerospace, chemical, food processing, nuclear engineering, heat treating, components for gas turbines, and even paper.
