Haynes® Alloys Specifications

Below you will find a list of Applicable Specifications for various Haynes® Alloys.

AMS 5878

Description:  The AMS 5878 specification covers a nickel alloy that is both heat and corrosion resistant and applies to plate, strip, and sheet forms. Material Specifications: Solution Heat Treated, Nickel Alloy, Heat and Corrosion Resistant, Plate, Strip, and Sheet, 59Ni – 22Cr – 2Mo – 14W – 0.35Al – 0.03La You can find the AMS 5878 specification in Haynes®230 strip alloy.

AMS 5951

Description:  Covering heat and corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys, the AMS 5951 specification can be found on plate, strip, or sheet forms. Material Specification: Precipitation Heat Treatable, Solution Heat Treated, Consumable Electrode, and Vacuum Induction Melted, Nickel Alloy, Heat and Corrosion Resistant, Plate, Strip, and Sheet, 57Ni – 20Cr – 10Co – 8.5Mo – 2.1Ti – 1.5Al – 0.005B The AMS 5951 specification is often found in Haynes®282 strip alloy.

ASTM B434

Description:  The ASTM B434 specification covers strip, sheet, and plate forms of Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium-Iron alloys (UNS N10003 and N10242), that is used in general corrosive services. Each piece, regardless of form, might be cold or hot rolled, descaled and annealed. Determinations will be made for physical properties such as edges of pieces, flatness, squareness, straightness, length, width, thickness, weight, and grain size. Measurements will be made for sheet and plate mechanical properties such as elongation, yield strength, and tensile strength. Material Specification: Strip, Sheet, and Plate Specifications for Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium-Iron Alloys (UNS N10003, N10242). The ASTM B434 specifications is normally in the Haynes®242 strip alloy.

ASTM B435

Description:  The ASTM B435 specification is used for the alloys UNS N06002, N06230, N12160, and R30556, which can be in the form of strip, sheet, and rolled plate, and is commonly used in general corrosive and heat resistance applications. Each piece is required to undergo chemical composition testing for Titanium, Boron, Nitrogen, Lanthanum, Zirconium, Aluminum, Tantalum, Columbium, Sulfur, Phosphorus, Manganese, Silicon, Carbon, Tungsten, Molybdenum, Cobalt, Chromium, Iron, and Nickel. The annealed alloys UNS N06002, N06230, and R30556 in strip and sheet form must comply with grain size requirements. Each alloy also must comply with specific mechanical requirements including elongation, yield strength, and tensile strength. Material Specification: Strip, Sheet, and Plate Standards for UNS N06002, N06230, N12160, and R30556 Alloys. You can find ASTM B435 in Haynes®230 strip alloy.
