Built on a 25 acre site, just 45 minutes northwest of Chicago, our high tech cluster mill in Hampshire, Illinois
adds new dimensions in the types of specialty metals
available to our customers. Our state-of-the-art facility and "can-do" service center
philosophy set new industry standards for quality and support.
Our 20-high mill can cold roll strip to as thin as .001" (.025mm) at a
starting width of 40" (1016mm). The state of the art automatic gauge control sytem is able to
hold less than 1/2 the standard thickness tolerances. The shape meter flex-roll system improves
the shape and flatness of the metal for finished part consistency. The Siemens "Neural Network" process
control system enhances product uniformity for increased productivity.
Supporting the mill are two bright anneal furnaces capable of annealing thickness
from .001" (0.025mm) to .060" (1.52mm) and as wide as 50" (1270mm). A next generation tension leveler can
also ensure flatness measurements as low as 1i unit on annealed or full-hard materials.
In addition, the mill's new slitting line can process coils as large as 900 PIW (16kg/mm) for long production runs.
We also have a skilled staff of metallurgical and mechanical engineers who can
be consulted in the various disciplines of stainless, high-performance alloys and titanium. A laboratory
with physical and chemical testing departments is located on site to ensure that all of your order
specifications are met. We're always ready to answer your technical questions and help solve your metal forming problems.
